well, he is still breech

Our baby boy is still wrong side up.  Jerod and I have decided to just let it ride out and see what he does.  Our doctor offered to do aversion which is when she would rub on my belly until he went head down.  After talking to a few people and understanding the risks involved (I could go into labor or it could lead to an emergency C-section), we decided to just see if God would move our little boy into position over the next 15 days!

If Little Moon does not go into the right position, then I will have to have a C-section.  In some ways this is cool because it means I would not have to go through one minute of labor!  On the flip side, we’d rather have the baby in the “normal” manner.  If you think about it, please pray God would turn our baby in the right direction.  Either way though, God is in control and I thank Him that we live in this time period.  The medical advances lessen the risk for the baby 🙂

  1. We will be praying for you. I understand not wanting to have a c-section, but you’re right, thank you Lord that we live in a time and a place where we are so well taken care of. Hopefully you’ll feel a big move soon. 🙂

    Hey you two.

Katie and I went through the same thing. Haddon was breach, so we have walked in your shoes. I pray that the Lord would strengthen you in your choice and that it would all go well, and uneventful (which is as well as it get). A c-section is not the end of the world, so don’t think that. Actually, it is really safe. You will have a whole team of trained doctors ready to help you get this little guy out. I am praying for you both.

  3. hey! We’ll pray Little Moon does a switch-a-roo!
I’ve heard that if you drink something sweet (like fruit juice) and get on your hands and knees, then it gives the baby more space and he can move around (and he’s super active because of the sugar and has the energy to move around) 🙂

I had an emergency c-section – those aren’t very fun!!! BUT the C-section isn’t so bad. IF you have a c-section, here are my tips…

1 – Walk around as soon as possible! It will feel bad to walk, but the sooner you walk, the faster you’ll feel better.

    2. Sit up straight / Stand up straight as soon as possible – it heals faster and you’ll feel better faster! (you’ll be afraid you’ll rip your stitches, but don’t worry, you won’t) 🙂

  4. hey april!
both of my girls were breach at 36/37 weeks and both managed to flip around by 39 weeks… so there is still hope! 🙂 but, from friends that have had c-sections, it’s not too bad. just talk to them and they will have plenty to talk to you about… if you don’t know any, i know several and can hook you up. we’ll be praying for you guys and are so excited for you!!
