Halfway There – 20 weeks! (read the next entry down to see what Little moon is!)

That’s a little scary. We only have about 20 more weeks to go and then I will undergo what will probably be the worst physically pain of my life. It will be okay though. I mean billions of women have done it before, right? And tons of them didn’t have the blessing of an epidural 🙂

As for our little boy….

He weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. He’s also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel.

Now this is pretty gross…

He’s swallowing more these days, which is good practice for his digestive system. He’s also producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion. This gooey substance will accumulate in his bowels, and you’ll see it in his first soiled diaper (some babies pass meconium in the womb or during delivery). So basically his first dirty diaper will go wwwaaaayyyyy back (about 20 weeks to be exact). Gross.

Little Moon is the length of a banana these days. Only about 9 or 10 more inches to go!

  1. 1 Heather

The meconium diaper is the WORST. Ask Brad about it, he had to change that diaper with both the boys…

  2. How exciting!! I remember freaking out around 25 weeks when I realized that my baby was going to be coming out! haha! Not that I didn’t know that before, but the realization of it all hit me… It’s so exciting!
