Elijah – All I Want to Do

Sometimes Eli gets to stay with Gran & Grandad, (Jerod’s grandparents) and they dance with him to the song “All I Want to Do” by Sugarland. Click the link “All I Want to Do” to check him out.

Looks like he’s learning to dance on his own…at least a little.

Jerod and I tied the knot!

Today I was thinking about us and I am so thankful God let me marry Jerod. We met in an unlikely spot, Glorieta, NM. We were long distance for three years~ a distance that spread two continents. We dated a total of six years and now we’re parents together. God has persevered us through eight years so far. I pray we make it at least 42 more.

What to do on a Saturday…

If you would have asked me a year ago what Jerod and I like to do for fun on a Saturday afternoon, the answer would not have been hanging out in the Terra Toys Store for an hour. Alas, we are parents.

Last Saturday we took Elijah to Terra Toys on Anderson Lane- perhaps the coolest toy store in Austin. We toured the puppet section, the trucks/cars, and made our way to the instruments. Here is what we came up with:

Can you believe it has almost been half a year since Elijah was born?

Some cool things that have been going on:

Elijah is rolling over!

He is also balding- he has less hair today than the day we brought him home from the hospital.

Eli has been saying words only he understands. Its cute though.

He is actually starting to enjoy tummy time. This hasn’t always been a fun time for him.

Elijah is sitting up mostly on his own (we put pillows down to break his fall).

He’s so advanced

Jerod (3.16) and I (4.2) celebrated our birthdays. We had some good times with family. We also got a few nice cards and presents in the mail! Here are some pictures of our birthday dinners:
