Well, Jerod and April are married and they live in Austin, Texas.  Currently they are a family of three.  Our little boy, Elijah Luke, arrived on November 26, 2008.

It all started, however, back in the summer of 2001.  April traveled to Glorieta, New Mexico to be a counselor for a Christan youth camp called Centrifuge.  Jerod headed to Glorieta with his good buddy, Tyler, to work at a conference center there.  Well, Jerod & April met and despite a rocky start of some pretty cheesy one-line-conversation-starters, they began a long distance friendship.

Jerod went back to Lubbock, Texas, and April headed back to Miami, Florida.  They kept in touch and then in December they decided to kick the relationship up a notch.  If a distance of 1,000 miles was not enough, April felt God calling her to go overseas on a long-term international mission trip to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  Jerod supported the idea and volunteered to wait until she returned.  Though 6,000 miles separated them, God persevered their relationship and at the end of her two year commitment, April moved to Texas to be near Jerod.

On March 15, 2007, Jerod asked April to be his wife at Towne Lake in Austin, Texas.  She said yes and they got married on August 3 at the Austin Museum of Art!

Seven months later, April and Jerod learned that they would no longer be a family of two, but of three!
